Software developer · Sofia, Bulgaria

I build apps, games and the systems behind them.

I'm Plamen Ignatov, a full-stack developer with more than two decades of hands-on experience, from 8-bit home computers to cloud back ends. On the side I publish Android apps and browser games, and I write a technical blog about the problems I solve at work.

Things I've shipped

Small, focused apps and retro-inspired games. Everything runs offline, needs no account, and collects no personal data. Each one has its own privacy policy.

Bunker 3D

AndroidPlay in browser

A fast, old-school first-person shooter with chunky pixel visuals. Fight through maze-like bunker floors, find colour-coded keys, uncover secrets and take on a boss. Touch controls are built for phones, and levels load from plain JSON files so new missions are easy to add.

Dig

Play in browserPWA

A tribute to the classic mine-digging arcade games. Tunnel through dirt, collect emeralds, push gold bags onto Nobbins and Hobbins, and grab the cherries for a bonus round. Works on a keyboard or a touch D-pad and installs on your phone as a progressive web app.

Net & Security Audit

Android

A local network scanner and app permission analyzer. Discover devices on your Wi-Fi, check open ports, run ping and traceroute, and review which permissions every installed app really asks for. All analysis happens on the device.

Light Meter

AndroidNew

Measure light with your phone's camera or ambient light sensor. Handy for photographers checking exposure, for growers watching their plants, or for anyone curious how bright a room really is. Readings are computed locally and never leave the device.

Guess the Capital

AndroidWindows

An educational quiz for the whole family: can you name the capital of every country? My first published app, originally built for Windows 8 and Windows Phone, later ported to Android. It was picked as an editor's choice by Best Windows 8 Apps.

7x2 Exercises at Home

Android

A no-nonsense timer for the scientifically backed 7-minute workout: twelve bodyweight exercises, thirty seconds each, ten seconds of rest. No equipment, no subscription, no ads, just a clear countdown and the next move to do.

About

Hello, I'm Plamen

I'm a full-stack software developer based in Sofia, Bulgaria. I started programming on 8-bit home computers, moved through Pascal and Delphi, and today I spend most of my working hours in C#, SQL Server and JavaScript, building line-of-business systems that companies rely on every day.

What I enjoy most is the full journey: understanding the actual problem, designing something simple enough to maintain, shipping it, and then keeping it healthy in production. That last part is where most of my blog posts come from.

Outside work I build small apps and games for fun. They are a playground for technologies I want to learn properly, such as Ionic, Vue and Capacitor, and a reminder that finishing a product is a skill of its own. When I'm away from the keyboard I'm usually hiking somewhere in the Bulgarian mountains.
